Content Creator/Blogger                              Athens, GA

Red Dress Boutique is seeking an experienced Content Editor/Blogger who wants to create original, engaging content to help expand our editorial offerings through a newsletter and our blog! We are looking for a snarky, creative, passionate writer who has a way with words paired with sharp technical and project management skills. This role will have a strong knowledge of fashion and culture, a witty sense of humor, and a discerning eye for word choice and copy-editing details. In this role, you will be responsible for the content management of the Red Dress Boutique blog and ecommerce content features from inception to completion. 

Responsibilities:

  • Research and write daily, relevant and on-brand content stories and features for the Red Dress Boutique blog.
  • Oversee CMS for the Red Dress Boutique blog, and be the last pair of eyes on content before it goes live.
  • Generate content stories around Red Dress Boutique products, people and projects.
  • Elevate the voice of the Red Dress Boutique brand—you must have your finger on the pulse of music, fashion, taste, history and  be willing to assist our women in gaining a positive self image.
  • Maintain the voice of the brand in all written material.
  • Collaborate with marketing, PR and creative teams to develop, maintain and implement editorial calendars.
  • Collaborate on content ideas, best practices, and optimization.
  • Edit freelance writers and copy from junior staffers.
  • Monitor competitors on a regular basis to ensure that all content remains unique. 
  • Represent the brand off- and online in the wild world of fashion editorial.
  • Develop relationships with writers, bloggers and brand-relevant content creators.
  • Take on additional company projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of online and/or print publishing experience with an established brand or editorial outlet.
  • A background of professional experience and personal interest in fashion and culture.
  • Associate or BS/BA degree in English, Journalism, Psychology, Communications or related field-experience in a professional environment.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • An understanding of and love for the Red Dress Boutique customer and what makes her awesome.
  • The ability to collaborate and also work independently when needed. You’re a nice person and a self-starter.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Must have the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

Customer Service Representatives            Athens, GA

Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer questions and assist them with order placement and site navigation through phone, chat and email

Encompassing the RDB brand and lifestyle, you’ll lead the RDB vision with the responsibility of developing and executing in-store sales strategies.  You will oversee and drive daily, monthly and yearly sales goals as well as delegate and empower your team to drive consistent results.


Responsibilities

  • Drive the business results by maximizing daily sales plans, controlling expenses and improving metrics through floor leadership and continuous coaching
  • Attract, select, train and retain top talent
  • Act as a liaison between boutique team, human resources and the home office
  • Understand retail sales and their relationship to inventory levels, with the ability to communicate needs directly to the home office
  • Protect the physical assets of the boutique by conducting routine cycle counts and an annual physical inventory

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience managing a specialty retail store
  • Demonstrated leadership with experience managing a staff of boutique associates
  • Sincere desire to work with a diverse customer, selling apparel, gift, home and jewelry
  • Proactive and creative problem solving ability as well as superior multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage changing priorities while being pulled in multiple directions
  • Ability to formulate strategic recommendations and work closely with executives
  • Experience opening a store from the ground up: experience with creative build out, visual merchandising, hiring and training a staff of sales associates is a MUST
  • The boutique manager must be willing to work alone in the boutique for extended periods of time during non-peak work days

Assistant Store Manager                              Athens, GA

 

Encompassing the RDB brand and lifestyle, you’ll support the store manager in leading the RDB vision for our flagship store.  Partnering with the Store Manager, you are involved in every aspect of the business.  In addition to your leadership role, you are the creative mastermind  for the store and will be responsible for visual merchandising, marketing and social media campaigns.

Responsibilities

  •  Take responsibility for store and customer needs through excellent floor supervision
  • Collaborate with the store manager to establish store goals and sales expectations
  • Effectively communicate with management and sales associates to make a highly creative store environment
  • Interpret seasonal concept direction and inspiration provided by the home office
  • Oversee product placement, receiving and display
  • Continually generate fresh ideas in both merchandising and marketing using varied materials, while retaining a collaborative and flexible mindset

  • Minimum 1 year specialty retail store, with a strong emphasis on customer service, visual merchandising and social media marketing
